Document Reader & PDF Scanner ("the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information while providing document reading, document management and PDF scanning features.
Information We Process
The App does not require you to create an account or register to use its features.
Local Document Processing
All documents and files are processed locally on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit or upload your documents or personal files. Your documents remain under your control and are accessed only to perform actions you request, such as reading, scanning, renaming, deleting, sharing, converting, merging, splitting, locking or unlocking PDF files.
All Files Access Permission
The App requests the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission because document management is the core functionality of the application. This permission allows the App to discover, organize and manage supported documents stored on your device.
- Browse PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text documents.
- Open and read documents.
- Rename, delete and share files.
- Create PDFs from images.
- Merge, split, lock and unlock PDF files.
- Search and organize documents stored on your device.
Files are accessed only when required to perform these user-requested actions.
Camera Permission
The camera permission is used only for scanning documents and creating PDF files from captured images.
Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect limited device and advertising information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase Services
The App uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and Firebase Remote Config to improve app quality, deliver notifications (where applicable) and enhance user experience.
ML Kit
Google ML Kit is used to provide on-device OCR features where applicable. Document recognition is performed on the device for supported features.
Your Privacy
We respect your privacy. We do not collect, sell or share your personal documents. Any sharing of files occurs only when you explicitly choose to share a document using your device's built-in sharing features.
Data Security
Your files remain on your device unless you intentionally export or share them. We take reasonable measures to protect the App and your privacy.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
